The Algonquin Canoe Company offers rental touring kayaks as well as flatwater and whitewater canoes ready to hit the water from out waterfront location. Rates start at $28.00 day. Before you rent from us we check your craft and your equipment to ensure your safety. If you prefer guided activites, our day tours depart daily between June 15th and September 15th and unclude guides, instruction and equipment. Reservations are required.
What to bring on our day tours:
- sunscreen, sun hat, sunglasses
- windbreaker
- shoes that you don't mind getting wet
- comfortable clothes and 1 litre drinking water

Day Tours are 2-4 hours long.
INTRO TO KAYAKING: EVERY SATURDAY FROM 10 AM - 1 PM
Perfect for the kayaking curious. After your basic instruction, we'll paddle the sheltered waters of the Ottawa River Narrows. Watch for great bald eagles perched on the soaring cliffs and pines above you.
Cost: $39.00 Cdn per person.

FULL MOON WOLF HOWL: JUNE 26, JULY 26, AUGUST 24
Howling humans in kayaks every full moon. Join in 9pm - 11pm on Lake Kipawa following the moonbeams on the water.

SUNSET SENSATION TOUR:
Enjoy the calmness and unique light reflections of a northern evening. Paddle to a secluded shore and enjoy a fishdinner by a camp fire. 6pm-9pm

ALGONQUIN FAMILY FREIGHTER
Leave your world behind. Bring your family aboard our motorized 8 passenger freighter canoe and enjoy the rich native heritage and eco-cultural experiences unique to the waterways of the Temiscaming region. Sip on iced tea while we prepare a traditional lunch.
Cost: $95.00 Cdn per person (includes lunch)
DUMOINE GUIDED TOUR:
Join us for a 3 or 5 day adventure down the Dumoine River. The 3 day trip is designed for a weekend whitewater getaway. A short vehicle transfer puts you in at the Grand Chute where you can hike this spectacular portage while your guides set you up for learning all the whitewater basics you will need to know to enjoy this trip. For a more challenging adventure the 5 day trip starts you out at Lac Benoit. You will have the opportunity to shoot all the great sets that have made the Dumoine a marquis paddling destination.
Cost is $150.00 Cdn per day per person
(It includes instruction, guides, canoe and camping equipment, meals and snacks as well as Drive-in access. Floatplane with Ait Swisha access is an additional cost.)
Reservations must be made 2 weeks in advance and 50% deposit is made at the time of reservation. All necassary documentation will be sent by email or mail for your trip after you book with us.
