Mahingan Howl – Full Moon Tour
Experience the tranquility of the moonlight dancing on the water as you learn the significance of the moon and constellations from an Indigenous perspective.
Trip Highlights
Departing from a choice of 2 locations; the Kipawa (Tee Lake) Booth Mill beach or Lake Temiscaming Marina. Expect to paddle approximately 1-2 km on this 2-hour tour. Back on land, enjoy a fire with hand picked teas and more stories of the moon and stars. This tour is suitable for older children and those comfortable in a nighttime setting. Head lamps and safety lighting will be provided.

8:45pm Meet at chosen location
9:00pm Safety and Paddling Instruction
9:30pm Head out on the water
10:30pm Back on land for tea and fire

Not only are we a safety precaution for the less experienced paddlers, our guides share tradition, knowledge and language of the Algonquin People.
Groups 2-5 people: $65.00 per person
Groups 6-10 people: $55.00 per person

Midnight Snack Option:
Wild Charcuterie: Bison, Elk and Venison cured meats paired sweet and savory local delights and a drink

Lunch Box Options:

Things to bring
Bug repellent and/or bug jacket, bottle of water and/or coffee thermos, secure closed toe shoes you don’t mind getting wet, water proof case/pack for warm clothing, camera, phone, toilette paper.
We provide canoe/kayak, PFDs with whistle, paddles, throw line, bailer, first aid kit, head lamp and glow sticks. If you’ve chosen a food option, we provide all easting and cleaning equipment
